Types of Transportation

Can you imagine a world without cars, ships, planes, trains and even motorcycle? Of course, it would be hard for us to traveling. We can not constantly use the power of our legs to reach a place where we want to go to. This will take a long time. Population growth means people will live further away from each other and places like shops, schools, offices and so on. In today's world we need all kinds of transport facilities to survive. The three main kinds of transportation are on land, by water, and by air.

Land is the most common transportation way on earth. Bus and motorcycle are common vehicles used on land. They’re both move on wheels and used by people in any situations and purposes. By bus, you can reach your destination with low cost. But, you should be patient, because the bus moves slowly. To avoid the traffic jam, you can use motorcycle. Moreover, you can be on time to the place where you want to go to. It loads only one passenger. Therefore, you must pay with high cost.

Transportation by water is the slowest way. The common vehicles are boat and ship. They’re both used to moving people and lots of goods from one place to another. Boat carries a maximum of fifty passengers because of its small size. It usually used to travel from one island to another nearby. For example, the city of Manado to Bunaken takes about 45 to 60 minutes by boat. Shipping may be for commerce, recreation or the military. Because of its large size, a ship carries more than two hundred passengers and lots of goods. Ship used to travel long distances. For instance, from Bitung port to port in Jakarta, or even around the world.

Transportation by air becomes an alternative. This is the fastest transportation. Airplane and helicopter, for example, may be used. Airplane helps people to travel. Ticket prices can be selected accordance with our finance. It means different service for different class. For instance, passengers in VIP class get breakfast, while a snack for economy class. Helicopter is one of the air transportation’s, but it is different from airplane. Helicopter is usually in the lease by certain people. Such as, Presidents, Ministers, Police, and so on. As a result, the high cost required for it. You have to feed yourself, because the owner doesn’t provide a special service.

In conclusion, transportation is important in our life. We use them to go to school, work or a place.  To do these things, the people use a lot of vehicles and different transportation. If we want to reach quickly, we use air transportation because it is the fastest. If the goods are a lot of, the people prefer seaways. Already it is slow and cheap. The most common transportation is land. You can reach everywhere you like. In short, it is quite difficult to survive in today's world without any transport that takes people and goods from place to place. Transportation is one of our parts in our life.
